Reviews
Every time we are here it is a wonderful experience!
The staff is always on top of everything and very friendly
Course conditions are always great
Great course. Well maintained despite recent reviews. Wonderful layout. Not a house in sight. Plus, the smaller 9 hole course is free to Franklin County residents.
Nice, we’ll maintained 9-hole golf course. Cart rental is the only fee for Franklin County residents, so you can’t beat the price! Get out there and enjoy!
Courses of Blacklick Woods Golf are very challenging. Course map is also very nice. At the first time, It was not easy to find the next tee. I think it will be better if they mark the next hole with any sign.
And, there is also 9 hole practice course which is good for beginners or for field range.
First time playing! this rating is for the course condition only! Course was in decent shape, par threes were beat up pretty bad. One of our guys left a club behind, never to be seen again, hope whoever took it gets some use out of it! Staff had the personality of a fence post!!! Not sure if I would play again!
I went for the first time on Saturday 8/19/23. The staff was very friendly walked up to the first tee box greeted by a very friendly staff member. Every green I walked on had lots of divets so I fixed like 5 to 6 of them so if your good enough to hit the geen and make a divet fix it please thank you had a great time
The staff is great. Courses are very well maintained and everything is reasonably priced. Chipping green and the 3 hole learners course are great. Driving range is ok. The balls they use are essentially found on the course and the grass tees are not the best out there. I would just rather hit off of mats instead. Although it is free to to play for Franklin county residents they need to patrol the 9 hole learner’s course. I’m on it at least 2-3 times a week and just seems like basic golf etiquette goes out the window. You’ll see large groups of 6-8 playing together. People hitting multiple balls from each tee, while you’re waiting behind them. The ball marks on the greens never get repaired and it is normal to see people driving golf carts on the fringe or right on the tee itself. I called the pro shop once while at hole 4 to inform them a group of 8 was playing the same hole together, delaying everyone and driving their carts on the green and nothing came of it. I get this course is free and you get what you pay for, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Even then it’s technically not free since tax dollars are subsidized to make this place possible. A dedicated staff member at the tee box and someone riding a cart ensuring people are following the rules would do wonders. Or even banning golf carts. Even if it’s on the weekend would be helpful.
Beautiful course, lots of wildlife! Saw deer, wild turkeys, hawks and alot of various birds. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are pristine. The rough is out of control, lost several balls that just trickled off the fairway into the rough. Grumpy staff made me feel like I was putting them out to have to check in my group. Will not return!
